Poteau pounds Sallisaw, 9-1, Tuesday behind Emma Hackler, who struck out 15 Black Diamonds in the season opener.
The Lady Pirates are back in action Thursday against Caddo.
Hackler went the distance and threw a two-hitter for Poteau. She allowed the one unearned run with the 15 strikeouts and two walks.
Hackler also doubled and went 1-1 with a triple while scoring four runs and knocking in a pair.
