Pocola loses in semifinals

OKLAHOMA CITY—Silo scored four runs in the top of the fifth to take the lead for good and held on to defeat Pocola, 9-6, in a Class 4A state slow pitch softball tournament game.

Silo advanced to the finals and won, 14-4, over Dale to win the state championship. Silo ends with a 31-8 record, Pocola finishes ranked second with a 33-6 record.

Pocola opened with a 17-0 thrashing of Hinton in the opening round before coming up short in the semifinals against Silo.
