Obituary for Willia Meeks

Willia Dean (Clinton) Meeks of Heavener was born Dec. 17, 1946 in Hodgen to Russell Gene and Edna Ruby (Pearson) Clinton and passed away surrounded by family May 23, 2024 in Heavener at the age of 77.

Funeral service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener, with Brother Anthony Loftis officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park, under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

Willia was a longtime resident of the area. She was a CNA at the Heavener Nursing Home. She was of the Assembly of God faith. She loved sewing, crafts, yard sales, and fishing. Willia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all whom knew and loved her.

She is survived by four daughters Teresa Elwood of Heavener, Patty Loftis and husband Anthony of Cedarville, Arkansas, Shellie Singleterry and husband Nathan of Heavener, and Sheila Bradley and husband Keith of Heavener;

One sister Hilda Benefield and husband James of Shady Point;

One brother Dewayne Clinton and wife Freda of Wister;

She also had 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whom loved her very much.

Willia was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Edna Clinton; one daughter, Norma Elwood; one brother, Francis Clinton; and one grandson.

Pallbearers are her grandsons.

Viewing is from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, 9 a.m. to  p.m. Monday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family will visit with friends Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
