Another excessive heat warning issued
Another excessive heat warning issued as the National Weather Service in Tulsa has issued another excessive heat warning from noon to 9 p.m. for LeFlore County and most of the area for Thursday with a heat index of 113 degrees possible.
The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will create a dangerous situation in which heat related illnesses are more likely. An excessive heat warning means conditions will accelerate the onset of heat related illness, which may result in a shorter response time to potential heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
If you have to work outside, take frequent breaks, wear light, loose clothing and drink plenty of fluids.
